This ocean-themed urn features a light blue dolphin on a dark blue wave. It will gracefully carry your loved one's ashes to the open ocean where it will float briefly before sinking. The urn will break down naturally over time, dispersing the ashes in the deep ocean. Float time will vary depending on the weight of the ashes, weather and water conditions.
*This urn is designed for a full portion of adult ashes to provide the necessary weight for sinking. For a smaller portion of ashes, weighted material such as sand must be added to the urn in order for it to sink in a timely manner.* Federal burial at sea guidelines require that cremated remains be scattered at least three nautical miles from land.
This urn was designed by me and handmade in Mexico by skilled artisans using recycled paper and plant-based glue. It is 100% biodegradable and non-toxic to sea life. Your purchase helps provide jobs with a living wage for artisans working in a traditional art form.
