Playful and elegant, Biodegradable Whale Urn is perfect for families who wish to release their loved one's ashes at sea in a unique and meaningful vessel. Designed to hold the cremated remains of an individual weighing up to 160 lbs, Whale will float briefly before sinking and breaking down naturally over time. May also be displayed in your home as a unique artwork and will remain beautifully intact until it contacts water.

Float time will vary depending on the weight of the ashes, weather, and water conditions. Federal burial at sea guidelines require that cremated remains be scattered at least three nautical miles from land.

In many traditional cultures, the whale is embraced and revered for its connection to deep waters that parallel deep mysteries, wisdom, and knowledge hidden from view, referencing the unconscious mind. It is considered an ancient ancestor that travels through the sentient bodies of water that respond to positive and negative emotion. Whale spirit animals are considered guides to help us connect with our higher purpose -- our particular song, just as they sing -- that we might use for the greater good.

Available in blue/white or white. $10 flat rate shipping.
